On Friday we went to visit Mainz with the German students and Herr Brühl, the school principal of Theisstalschule. We took the train from Niedernhausen over Wiesbaden to Mainz. As soon as we
arrived to Mainz, we walked through the historical centre (Altstadt) and we saw the beautiful market square (Marktplatz). There we could admire the colourful variety of food and flower stands selling typical products. After that, we started our touristy tour visiting the Gutenberg Museum where we could witness a demonstration of how a reproduction of an old printing machine worked 550 years ago as Master Gutenberg originally conceived. Later after the
interesting museum we visited St Martin Cathedral. The variety of architectural styles must be highlighted because they stand out as it was built throughout the centuries. We took a really nice g
roup photo as a souvenir and then we had the evening free to go shopping and visit Mainz with our partners.
